Holiday Movie Roundup

The Christmas holidays are behind us and with them the onslaught of high-profile holiday releases and award hopefuls.  January and February are sometimes called the “dry season” for movies – the dumping ground for movies the studios are least confident in – but before we see if there’s anything worthwhile to be found before spring, it’s always good to make sure we haven’t missed anything good.

Here’s a quick lowdown on some of this past month’s biggest releases, excluding Gulliver’s Travels and Little Fockers, since, well, one look at those trailers should tell you all you need to know about whether or not they’re for you.
